Khan lashes out at British fight fans

I came across this article on a reputable boxing site. What a shame a fighter like Khan can't get support in his home country. Looks like he'll be fighting stateside now.

WBA super lightweight champion Amir Khan has lashed out at his British detractors. “I can only say that sometimes skin color does make a difference,” stated Khan, who is of Paskistani decent. “I know for a fact if I were a white English fighter maybe I would have been a superstar in Britain, and the world.” He added, “In America they treat me like God!”

already been discussed. The 'In America they treat me like God' line makes me laugh though. I bet Amir Khan could probably walk through Los Angeles completely unnoticed.

Let's be honest. He was never embraced by the fans the way Hatton and Froch have been.

The fact is he has the personality of a soggy sock.

Where as Hatton is very likeable.

have you ever considerd that most boxing scribes stateside and in UK
look at his resume and see little there.

impressed with his pinpoint accuracy against salita.
he's got to come stateside to fight on the next level.

with warrens M.O. he'll keep khan matched up against second tier britts and euros and get a bigger piece of the khan pie. if he keeps him in U.K.

I don't know what makes you think that. His last three fights have been against barrera, a world champion and a mandatory challenger. I reckon he'll be on the may v pac bill. Warren wants to keep him in britain but it won't happen. He'll only go on to harder fights from now on!!!!
