Both are already HOF during their active time. And both will be ATGs when they retire, no matter who wins the march fight.
Of course you can analyze a fighter's carreer to the point that every win is just "so-so". There are people on the boards who do that for Ali, Lennox, or Tyson, and point out that even these ATGs had many mediocre wins. But it's not only the record which counts for history.
PBF has the best defense I have ever seen. He has many great names on his record. He is undefeated and is TOP3 for about 10 years, even if he fights not too often.
Pacman moved up five (?) weight classes and gathered belts in every class. He has impressive punching power, and seems to be getting better as he moves up. His resume is as impressive as Mayweather's, at least. He brought boxing into the spotlight of millions of people.
I give credit to both men, bitching/ducking/steroid talk/greed nonwithstanding.
