Yeah, he's starting to look a bit like the posters on this forum now. He made a fan out of me after owning Diaz, but now I'm not so sure... I wouldn't be surprised at legal action, but it'd be smarter to just ignore him.

I don't think less of the fighter at all. You can use performance enhancers and still suck.

You're mad people are bringing this up without proof but this is a PED era - the problem is that proof is nearly impossible. And everyone is using. Think of the irony of Floyd Mayweather Sr turning to SHANE MOSLEY and saying about Pacquiao, "something ain't right."

My friend, all I can tell you is that I know a very prominent journalist is doing research right now that they are looking to get Commissions, politicians (McCain) and others involved. And it's because of this major PED scandal in the sport. People are starting to talk. What you should ask yourself is, how will you look at the sport and its participants when the news hit home?
Trust me, I wouldn't if Pacquiao was found cheating. The only thing I see is accusations with no proof. I find it odd you can root for fighters whose skills could very well be a bi-product of PEDs. You should think of them less-- because you're cheering for something that's not real.

We live in a PED era yet we make every effort to show a clean image in sports because we hold athletes to a high standard. That is what is expected from them. I see you are waiting for Pacquiao to be exposed-yet that seems strange considering you already believe all of them are taking it. So what are you actually anticipating? People's reaction? That's sad.

You want to know what I'm waiting for? I'm waiting for the sport to start taking health seriously. I'm waiting for the lid to blow so we enforce stronger testing methods. I'm waiting for a real conversation on the topic; it's benefits and harms. I don't want a baseball situation where everyone comes out and calls the whistleblower a liar and jealous, then stops caring after it's discovered he was right. We need real talk, not to keep our heads buried in the sand. It's a huge problem!

So while you cry about proof (when did Shane Mosley test positive?), I'm crying because what you're asking for is impossible, thanks to testing that means squat. This is the problem. And if it means starting to point to where the smoke is coming from, so be it. Fans with hurt feelings will either move on or learn that no fighter is greater than the sport itself.

No, no....you're talking about two different things now...the sport's credibility and the fighters who particpate in them. Attacking Pacquiao or any other fighter with no proof means NOTHING other than to soil their reputation. I never said I didn't want the sport to take more action against PEDs. I want random drug testing, more accurate results for HGH, EPO, or any other enhancing variant. It would further validate the athlete's ability if tests were found negative. Why wouldn't I want it?

Of course without proof who can say for sure? But that is the whole point...to never have proof. A cheater never wants to get caught, and it's much easier to pass drug tests than many think, especially if you have a smart doctor or coach who fully understands clearance times. The accusations againt Pacquiao may seem whimsical, but it's hard to ignore the facts. He has put on quiet a bit of weight without gaining any fat. Such an increase in lean body mass is unusual for an adult his age. It is even more unusual for a boxer, who presumbably, does not workout with weights with the dedication and intensity necessary to stimulate the natural growth of lean body mass.

I cannot accept for a minute that Pacquiao before walked around at 150lbs. at his current level of body fat and would trim down to 130 for a fight. That would require losing 20lbs. of muscle and water to make weight, since he is already very trim at 150. Such a decrease in muscle and water would have left him emaciated on the day of the weigh in, and he would have ballooned in weight for fight night. Ask any bodybuilder, who usually has to "dry" himself out to the fullest, how much weight they put on the next day after a show...it's scary. I have never seen that happen to Pacquiao.

I olympic lifted, powerlifted and played baseball in college. It was no secret that the olympic lifters and powerlifters juiced. If you didn't like it, you had to accept that your total may not be as high as the next guy. Likewise, it was no secret back in my day (1997-2000) that collegiate baseball players juiced. Hell, some guys on my team were juicing in high school. When competition is fierce, you do some ****** things, especially when you are young.

Pacquiao is a decent human being and a great boxer, but I would not be at all shocked if he was getting his hiny poked with a needle. As much as I hate to think it, based on what I have seen of him and what I know, he is a prime candidate for that type of accusation.

With all due respect he is entitled to his opinion, even though I disagree with him. We should be proud of having such a good athlete in the sport like Pacquiao.

Your entire post fails because he did weigh as high as 148 the day after the weigh-in for previous fights at super featherweight. HBO does not lie.

He hasn't gained any weight at all. He just doesn't want to cut weight to fight at lower weight classes anymore.

So by your ****** logic, many boxers must be on some type of performing enhancing drug because many of them put on 20 pounds on fight night. Marquez, in the second fight, went up 14 pounds. Must be steroids or something.

                      That was pretty pathetic.
