Should Khan not be used as the main sparring partner?

I know Khan has great speed and good power like Floyd, but he is no where near as good in terms of movement and style.

The kid is physically the only guy that can keep up wih Manny in terms of training according to Ariza, and Floyd is also a beast in the gym (Greatskipping and padwork too-I love that sort of stuff), but I would have thought that Roach is smart enough to use Malligani, Guzman etc who are fast and box on the move instead of wanting Khan and Berto.

Yes both are fast belholders, but it's not speed that makes Floyd good, it's well everything lol but mainly movement and a top defence that seperates him from the rest of the world.

Perhaps he wants Khan to learn because it seems that he is Roach's new baby. Maybe he wants Khan to get US exposure on 24/7 ad make big bucks in th US.

I'm not sure what he is doing, but from saying he needs 3 months to train for Floyd's style, he kinda surprised me on his choice of sparring partners.

It is a great choice, because khan has great speed and a good left hand, floyd also has a great jab and left hook. Floyd will definitely trying to utilise his jab and straight right hands to beat pac, and khan is probably one of the few fighters out there who can replicate floyds speed.

Remember roach will not only use khan, but he will use maybe 2 or 3 guys because no one can really match floyds style, if you use malignaggi or guzman, ok they have a much more of a similar style but they are poor versions of floyd and don't help at all in my opinion. Roach will use khan for hand speed, also he was talking about using berto, which would be good for speed also and condition manny for welterweight punches. He will probably use 1 other fighter for defense and slickness.

Khan has just developed his left hand. I suppose he is accurate and fast.

The thing is, I think it's not Floyd's speed but his timing and accuracy wih his fluid movement and defense. Khan actually likes to stay in the ring while Foyd will have a lot of lateral movement if Pac connects.

Guzman and Malli are poor versions, but thei movement will help him adjust to fighting someone who won't stand toe to toe and can use techniques that lessen punches.

Wonder who else he will use for defense.

          What about rigondeaux?

I know he is abit smaller and thay wouldnt be able to go all out, but in terms of speed, counterpunching and general ring smarts i think hes the closest out there. Plus hes already at the same gym...
