  • Green needs to fight _______ to prove himself.

Just wondering who would Danny Green need to fight/defend his title against to be a more respected fighter world wide.

Not speaking about other current champions cos that may be some time off before anyone puts title against title, so close after the Jones fight.

Despite having the IBO cruiser title, Green is a natural 175 pounder. Even though he starched Roy in the first round, it's hard to tell exactly where he is at.
Any of the following would be a good test for Green:

    Glen Johnson
    Antonio Tarver
    Zsolt Erdei
    Tavoris Cloud
Hugo Hernan Garay - he was Green's WBA mandatory when he retired in 2008?
    Mundine @175

I think Hopkins and Dawson are beyond him.

Hopkins barely looked good against Ornelas.

I think Green might be a problem for an aging Bhop.

          Sacrilege, I know.

pretty well said, but we all know that all of those fighters mentioned would not fight Green due to the risk factor - the only one would maybe be Glen Johnson, but even he would be risking it to travel abroad to fight Green without any real big money on the table....

Green has it hard as he has a mofo punch and can demand a minimal paypacket - and this will make it hard for him to get any big fights...the best chance would become no. 1 contender in one of the real organizations - but that would take time (not on his side).
