Never claimed to have Tesla credentials. But I do like him. Even an honorary doctorate is still a doctorate. It is a fact. However, it does not mean he earned it the usual way. My opinion is he should have earned it but that honorary is given. To refuse an offer is an insult.

It does seem odd that Pacquiao would not have sued ANY of these people saying this stuff. They said they would. I wonder why that would be.

I have experience in labor, landlord and tenat, divorce, and securities but never been in this type of case either as pro se, litigant, or work related. But i know there is enough threshold to atleast iniatiate a Summons and Complaint to Mayweather or Malignaggi if Arum really wanted to do it. Top Rank can be in the caption instead of pacquiao, since it was spoken and not written it deals more with slander than libel. If pacquiao can be considered a commodity or "goods" than possibly he can use tort laws dealing with Slander of goods.

But it is important to note that Top Rank really has to prove several things and damages and losses associated with the speech by mayweather or malignaggi. Did Top Rank lose contracts or revenues? The fact is that they have made more money and pac has added sponsors as Nike.

The fact is that Malignaggi's attorney can do a Verified Answer to the S&C and claim a good portion is freedom of speech and opinion. In addition, how many people does he want to sue? Roger Clemens who is likely guilty as hell sued his former trainer and i believe the case was dismissed. These type of cases Arum would want a quick settlement or motion for summary judgment and its likely not going to happen. So it probably will do more damage to pac than help him.

It comes down to me very simple. If pac is innocent you would expect a press release or conference denying these allegations and a warning about litigation.
