Does anybody think Martinez would've lost more decisively if it had gone 15 rounds?

I'm not automatically saying he would have. But when it got down to the last round, it looked like the momentum was in Paul Williams' favor and Martinez was clinching trying to buy time thinking he had the fight in the bag. This fight is a classic example of why we need to go back to 15 round fights. Maybe Martinez would've caught a second wind and KO Williams for all we know. But there is no way to find out unless people re-implement this rule. It would probably help get rid of bad decisions as well. Of course the thing that made that a bad decision was that one scorecard.

Williams pressure, stamina is what won the fight for him. No way Martinez could have won any rd past 12

Martinez didn't pull for that all that much. Neither fighter wanted the fight at that weight it seemed like.

I still got a high opinion of Martinez too. He deserves a lot of props.

I wouldn't call it dominating, but, I did give him the last three rounds. The 12th round imo could've gone either way though.

And, if it would've gone 3 more rounds, I think Sergio would've been the fresher of the two.

I don't want to watch 15 round fights.......not every fight is going to be exciting like last night and more than an hour of Ruiz for example hugging his was to a MD win doesn't interest me......12 rounds is fine.

Thirteen rounds would help eliminate draws even though the possibility would still be there because of KDs.
