I wouldn't be the type to call out another Boxer, I'm not a talkative person; probably Bernard Hopkins but that dude doesn't look like the type you want to talk toI'm in san Juan with this honey. I was staying at the Ritz-Carlton which is right next to the El San Juan Hotel. Right on that same strip, there's this little orange-colored strip mall with a CVS or Duane Reade or something. So, I'm walking through the parking lot to grab some stuff from that Duane Reade.
Who do I see in the parking lot? Edison Miranda. I say what's up, cause he is just there chilling. He nods and smiles, maybe surprised that someone recognized him. I intend to get my babe the stuff she needs, and come back outside to kick it with Pantera.
I'm inside like, literally, five minutes. I come back out and dude is gone. Damn.
I'm generally not a boxer stalker. I've been to alot of fights and met/seen alot of guys and generally just say hello and keep moving. But I really wanted to speak to Miranda. He has always seemed like a cool, funny guy. Since I was staying in the area, i kept my eyes open the rest of the weekend. Nothing.
Only boxer I seen was Clottey cuz Clottey's GYM is 5-6 mins away from where I live.Comment

I met SRL in Chicago. Met Tyson several times in NYC. I was in the Poconos and kicked it with Livingstone Bramble (LOL). met a TON of boxers at Trinidad-Delahoya. Met Jermain taylor in Miami before the Froch fight (he was a d!ck).
Saw Pernell in a restaurant in Atlanta, but he was eating. I pretended not to notice although he is a top 3 AT favourite.Comment

Whitaker, I'd definitely try and talk to Whitaker but not while he's eating. He does seem like the approachable type, atleast I think. I'd be strucked, Whitaker?!I met SRL in Chicago. I have only seen Roy Jones in person in the train he was coming from Harlem 125th street he sat right across from me and I said nothing because of how star struck I am. That was a longggg time ago, I was probably 11-12 years old.Comment

I've haven't seen or met many modern age boxers except I seen Roy Jones at Mike Ditka's restaurant in Pittsburgh. But Earnie Shavers (or "Dee" as the family calls him) is my cousin. So I met a lot of the old time boxers. Larry Holmes, Ali, Ken Norton, Joe Frazier, Ron Lyle.....It's weird cause even though they fought each other a lot of them were actually friends. I don't think a lot of people know that.Comment
