Most of them didn't even score the fight, they're going with what they're reading on NSB. If they scored the fight then they would not be saying it was a robbery.

i scored the fight 7-5 for martinez and still say its a robbery not a bad one because it was close and it could have gone either way but i felt that sexy sergio won clearly

It wasn't a robbery, but it wasn't scored fairly either, that Benoist dude or w.e. could just have well been replaced by a reasonable judged who could have scored it for Martinez, makind it a draw.

Don't really know what to call it when one card is just out there. Great fight nonetheless. How dope would it be if they could fight on the Pac-May undercard?

A previous post of mine:
Paul Williams is a very good fighter and has many many fans on Boxingscene while Martinez is at the "Margarito stage" before he fought Cotto(not that well known but good). So when this virtual unknown with not too many fans gives a very well known fighter a good fight all the other fans come out to put him down. Some are Cotto fans, Some are Floyd fans, Alot are Pac fans and so on.
In other words "try and kick a man while he is semi down".
The truth is , it was a close fight that could have went either way...if it was in South America, Martinez might have won ..but honestly it was so even a draw or either way looks good.!119-110 is the only disgrace.

Was a very competetive fight, I thought it could have gone either way.
If I had to give the SLIGHT edge to someone it would have been Martinez.
However I'm ok with Williams winning also, he kept comin forward with EFFECTIVE aggression. Wasn't a robbery, decision just stunk a bit due to the one blind judge.
Good night of boxing all around, I was up out of my seat almost the entire time.
I would love to see a rematch.

first of all Seriously most of you people DO NOT know a thing about boxing. second the Williams Martinez bout wasnt a "great fight". stop quoting HBO. thirdly, Paul williams is a joke to boxing. The guy sucks, he's nothing but a street bum with no discipline just trying to make some money. He has poor technique, he has poor head movement, and lets not talk about his footwork which is by the way horrible!. The only advatange he has over fighters is his height and reach, and he cant even used that well. The guy just gets in the ring throws a whole bunch of UNEDUCATED PUNCHES and he's a good fighter ? please. seriously dont talk boxing if you dont know boxing. Martinez schooled him. please folks boxing is a gentleman sport its not UFC or MMA or m&m's whatever you want to call that nonsence

With a fight like this, if you got a fighter losing, specially a non american fighter, with such a close fight. The only fair decision was draw. I had it for Martinez: 1,2,3,8,10,11,12. If the 12th round was for Pwill then it was a draw. Any other verdict is a robbery.

I agree.....last night was the ****!!....Arreola layed Minto out in a buffet room brawl......then Paul and Sergio put on one for the archives.....but at the end of the day......Sergio Martinez got robbed of the W but he stole a few fans!!
