first, let's start off with Arreola-Minto
i love watching two fat tough guys slug it out...pure entertainment but the bigger fat guy won...
Minto showed major cojones for getting right in there and trying to trade...if we only had about 5 Mintos with skills, the division just might be alright
for Chris, im still a fan but i'm not taking his career seriously until he does...a couple more rounds and he would have been huffin and puffin...its a good thing he ended it as early as he did
he cries on tv after the Vitali fight talkin about being more dedicated and then he shows up heavier...THEN tries to make a joke about getting hungry at night
that was funny Chris...not the joke, but your dedication and nonchalant attitude about your weight
Now, about the main event.....
i made some last minute bets (2501, gerardopr, i'll get those points to you this afternoon when my interest hits) to add to the stakes in this bout...i also felt that Sergio had the style to give the 'most feared' man trouble...i KNEW this would be a great fight and it didn't disappoint
i have this fight over JMM-Diaz as FOTY
what a brilliant fight...that first round had me yelling like i was at the event itself...when Sergio went down, i thought two things;
heart and hype
does Sergio have heart? and is the Williams hype real?
then Sergio got up and put Williams on his ass....i never jumped so high
the war that ensued was classic stuff...Williams' determination to not the fight slip away...Martinez's slick skill..back n forth...brutal exchanges...it was a fight fan's fight
at the end, i had Sergio winning by a round...i dont think it was a robbery since it was competitive but i thought the worst Sergio could get was a draw
i would like to see that one judge who had 119-110 in front of a firing squad...**** like that makes boxing look ******
BTW- 100K for the person that can make me a gif of Sergio knocking the SNOT out of the 'most feared' man in boxing LOL
