Now when people said that Williams could be competitive with the super six and beat guys like Bute and Ward that is overrating him. I also don't think that Williams can beat Hopkins anymore, and Hopkins will get bashed from me if he takes that fight. But I think that Paul would still beat the **** out of Pavlik and he gives anybody hell from 147-160 still like he did last night.

As far as where he is on p4p list I think he is overrated. On this forum I think he is underrated by many posters.

He did not look good for the 4 rounds against Cintron,an unfinished fight. But other then that he has looked good in his fights. Meanwhile Pavlik has looked bad in his fights for 2 years now.

I'm taking bets all my points if that fight is signed that the Punisher beats either Floyd or Pacman & my membership to this sight as well for an extra million, that's how much I know that the Punisher beats the brakes of either 1 of those guys!

I like paul williams as a fighter and a person. But he needs to prove to me against Martinez he is still an elite fighter. I think I've seen signs he's on the decline already but I hope I'm wrong...time will tell.

huh??? why do ppl think that by being in a close fight with martinez means he's no longer an elite fighter??? maybe it wass a close fight because martinez is elite as well?? or is this about the cintron fight??? who knows what would have happened in that fight. williams is still williams.

It's my opinion he's starting to decline which I admit I may be wrong about that. His punch resistance may be getting worse and if he gets beat badly or knocked out by martinez that would prove my theory correct.

Again, I hope I'm wrong but these are observations that I think I've made.

It's simply based on a his last couple fights getting rocked and knocked down by martinez, getting rocked/wobbled by Kermit and the fact he's eaten a ton of punches throughout his career, it's like mileage on a car ***** starts to add up. Same thing that happens to running backs in the NFL if they carry the ball a ton of times they're careers will be over before they hit 30 years old, it's just too much physically and they're bodies break down.
