Observation: How Sergio could have (clearly) won the fight.

He fought the perfect fight the first three rounds, quick enough to move in and land some big shots without getting caught with much. From round four on though, he was throwing less and getting caught with way more of Pauls punches. I felt like he should have gone inside at that point and tried to land the uppercut or any head shots. His corner kept telling him to move. He was using way too much energy moving away from Paul the whole time, when he could have easily tried to land a shot and then held, and saved his energy for his busier rounds. His body punching the whole fight didn't do much to Paul, and it obviously didnt help him on the scorecards. A few more flush punches on Paul's jaw each round could have gone a long way.

Last night I scored it for Martinez, though today I feel like it was a draw.

I have Sergio in a rematch easily. One he figured out he could land the hook and the strait left he could have taken Paul out imo, but he was just too exhausted at that point.

There is no way he could have clearly won that fight.

One judge only give him 1 out of the 3 first rounds, and in the entire fight.

He could have knocked him out and still only gotten a draw.

He only needed one round to get ahead on the draw card and two to get ahead on the other. Had he won those rounds, im sure the 109-118 card would have still been the same, but everyone would write it off just as they are now.

When Paul would lean on him, it took a lot of energy also. In addition, the referee broke them up everytime they clinched. He wouldn't have been able to stay inside with the ref and Paul's size, too much time in the middle area would have served Williams' range well. His best bet was the exhausting ordeal of moving outside of Williams' range with occasional jumps back inside his range to land.

His stamina gave before Williams' did. Thats why he lost. In the mid rounds, he was winning that fight hands down, but Williams is so tough and has such a good workrate he was able to prevail.

And Williams' chin is something else, I can't believe how many vicious shots he took and kept going.
