Shane Mosley -vs- Paul Williams at 147? Official Poll!

Who wins Shane Mosley -vs- Paul Williams at 147? Remember to consider Williams hasn't actually fought at this weight in quite some time. I wouldn't be surprised if that fight happened. Mosley will likely be coming off a Berto win and both Pacquiao and Mayweather will be tied up. Mosley's agility, chin & power vs Williams' size, workrate & will.. Poll to follow.

Williams would win as long as he is effective at 147.

I think Williams is most healthy and effective somewhere around 154 - 157 range. I'm not saying he's just a stick figure at 147 but I don't think he can suck up as many punches and plod forward with the exact same efficency as he did last night. If Williams were tagged with the same shots at WW he'd have found himself on the canvas more than once IMO.

Williams would win if he can still make 147 comfortably.

If you asked me yesterday during the day, it would have been Williams by decision. Today, I'm confident Shane would stop him.

This is kind of tough to gauge because like you mentioned we're not completely sure about Williams at 147 still. In addition Mosley had had a year layoff and is now 38 years old so I'd really like to see how he performs against Berto but I think he will more then likely be fine. Assuming he's the same guy that fought Margarito...I think he would put up a tough fight and Richardson could probably draw up a good gameplan but I'd still favor Williams. Mosley's not much of a mover nor he is a southpaw so I think style suits Williams more then guys like Quintana or Martinez which is why I don't really put too much thought into these fights. I think Williams would more then likely outwork him to a decision but Mosley does have a puncher's chance of KO'ing him.

Williams by UD if he can make 147 without draining himself.
