I couldn't believe, Peterson was so inept, no gameplan... and no sound advice between rds!!! I guess he had Paul believing, that he was going to blow Martinez out in 1rd!!!

So Williams vs. Pavlik might be promoted as "the duel of the one-dimensional coaches"...maybe Kessler's coach can join in..

I cant stand when people bash corners for their corner advice.

They have been game-planning and strategizing for months. Paul Williams knows exactly what needs to be done, and nothing he is told in the corner is going to help at this point.

He just needs to be given one or two things to go out there at try, which is what they did and should have done

So why can coaches like Richardson and Steward change their fighters tactics and advise them to correct their errors?

He actually gave good advice. In the early rounds Williams was only throwing the jab and then trying to land the left. Martinez was taking advantage of it and getting him with the right hand. Then when he got back to the corner after round 3 he said to hook off the jab and then jab again.

Williams had a lot better of the middle rounds because of it.

                they CANT

What they do is in camp, they come up with a plan B and a plan C.

WHen Plan A doenst work, good trainers like them simply discuss gameplans that they have been talking about for months in Camp.

Trust me, nothing Steward or Richardson say in their corners hasnt already been said a million times in camp

Whether they train and plan out tactic for months doesnt matter, A cornerman has to be effective in studying and giving better advice in the ring when a fight isnt going his pupils way, Evangelista cotto and Mayweather snr for all his BS still knows how to do that in between rounds.

I hate clueless corners like Jack "Triple the jab" leow..........

They told him to go to the body, which wasn't terrible advice either because Martinez gassed later on.
