    Punisher-Martinez,what's the problem exactly??

Last night I saw a great fight!!Martinez came out & swept the 1st 3 rounds easy,I was nervous!!But then the Punisher came back & took control for most of the way!!I had him 7-5 on rounds after 12!!The Punisher finshed strong as ever!!

I'd like to know what exactly are his critics mad about!!I know in myself that that fight was close, too close as a matter of fact,I think they should fight for the title at 154!!Are Punisher critics mad because of that 1 blind judge that had the fight 119-110,or do u hate Paul so much that u think they should have given the fight to Martinez, just because he won the 1st 3 rounds easily??

I'm not defending a loser here!!But I want to know what's the grype really about!!It was close, but I do think the Punisher won!!That 1 judge wasn't watching the same fight!!Hbo comentators were split in their choices, please no hating, but discuss!!

119-110 was too close. Williams should have had more 10-8 rounds.

Yes, and people here also score fights a certain way. Either they like the boxer or the aggressor. Neither man was dominant, but both put up a great fight.

I think some people also dislike Williams for whatever reason. With that said the last judge was clearly a moron, and he was probably paid to screw Martinez over.

No Dey Mad CUz, Paul Williams is a very good fighter and has many many fans on Boxingscene while Martinez is at the "Margarito stage" before he fought Cotto(not that well known but good). So when this virtual unknown with not too many fans gives a very well known fighter a good fight all the other fans come out to put him down. Some are Cotto fans, Some are Floyd fans, Alot are Pac fans and so on.
In other words "try and kick a man while he is semi down".
The truth is , it was a close fight that could have went either way...if it was in South America, Martinez might have won ..but honestly it was so even a draw or either way looks good.!119-110 is the only disgrace.

Great thread. People are bashing both fighters, especially Williams, when they should be praising both for an incredible performance and possible fight of the year. Both showed incredible abilities, just different than what we expected. Most thought Paul would win without much trouble or that Martinez would outbox him. Not many expected a give and take war that tested their chins and heart so they're acting like they were exposed. Thats nonsense. Give them props!

Thanks for the Post!!It really seems like the Punisher can't be involved in a close fight, from here out because the haters are gonna flock out to say the other guy was robbed, when in reality,it was only 1 ****** judge!!The fight was close,I believe that to be a fact,I do think Paul edged him & I'm not 1 of them guys that swear the Punisher owned Martinez, because he didn't!!If it wasn't for his will,he would have lost, but he has will & willed himself to outhustle Martinez, barely, but he did!!
