    Khan is about 5'8 or 5'9 I don't buy the 5'10.

              How about Pernell Whitaker?

You're not considering styles. What Pacquiao needs is a fabulous defensive fighter. Khan is not one.

Amir Khan is a good sparring partner for Pacquiao but not the perfect sparring parter. There isn't really such thing as a perfect sparring partner, all boxers have major differences and the point in having 2-3 sparring partners is that you end up covering all the qualities of guy you're up against. Mayweather is very fast, in good shape, bigger than Pacquiao, defensively sound, brilliant jab, really slick, good right hand, good left hook, uses a good shoulder roll and is rarely hit, has very good footwork and has a good chin. Khan is fast, in good shape, bigger than Pacquiao, brilliant jab, good right hand, good left hook, good foot movement and very similar power to Mayweather...so that is a lot of Mayweathers strenghts covered. The chin, shoulder roll, defensive style, slickness, unwillingness to engage and great inside fighting will come from his other 2 sparring partners. So yes Amir is a good sparring partner for Pacquiao. You gotta ask who will Mayweather spar with who will be anything like Manny? Very few fighters out there are as good as Mayweather or Manny so sparring is gonna be tough.
