With Calzaghe its never really been the quality of his wins, rather its been the number of title defences (like Hopkins at mw).
Sven Ottke had 21 title defences and retired undeafeted just like Calzaghe. btw. Even though most of his so called wins was blatant robberys he still had guys like Glen Johnson, Robin Reid, Anthony Mundine and Byron Mitchell on his resume. I really don't see what makes Calzaghe so much better at 168 than Sven Ottke, I really don't...

That's doesn't really count. I mean, with enough home-support you can make many tittle defenses. You need to fight someone live at least a couple times! His one good win was Hopkins. Kessler got smashed the first time he went out facing a good.... prospect. Hopkins will go on to get smached by Haye but his win over Pavlik was a good thing for Calzaghe.

I tend to agree. Will someone explain this please?

In terms of quality of opposition they are about equal, but Calzaghe should get the nod because he actually beat his opponents fairly.
The only fight ive seen of Ottke was the Robin Reid fight, damn that was a robbery, the ref was dreadful.
