Still not top 5 for you??? Wow.
Well Cotto and Hatton are not a sure thing HOFers. I think Cotto is border line.

Now when you say record titles in 8 divisions. I want to ask did Robinson, Armstrong, Greb, Langford, B. Leonard have those chances? See you have to also bring into account that they didn't all extra belts like they do now... They also didnt have all those weightclasses like they do now. Is not Pac fault but it is what it is bro. Armstrong probably would have 8 titles as well and maybe 7 lineal. See they dealt with the original 8 weight-classes. So if we go by what they had to deal with then Pac would had 3 lineal titles (Flyweight, Featherweight, Welterweight). So I look at it like that. My top 10 right now looks like this...

    1. Robinson
    2. Armstrong
    3. Greb
    4. Ali
    5. Langford
    6. Louis
    7. Pep
    8. B. Leonard
    9. Gans
    10. Johnson

If Pac accomplished all that he would probably break my top 10 probably right at #10. Is damn near impossible to get in that top 5 bro.

No....but SRR has almost quadruple the amount of wins as Pacquiao has fights....and fought in his 50s.

At a time where a boxer fought every other week that sounds
        possible.

Nowadays most fighters at Pac's level fight every 5-6 months.

If that's how you look at it im certainly not going to argue with it. Interesting to see you put greb over Ali by the way.

But the way i was looking at it...if all went according to my hypothetical situation....the number of extremely high level opposition Pacquiao would have had to go through would equal or surpass what ali and louis had in their careers. And also taking into account the impact Pacquiao has made in changing the face of boxing and opening doors for asian fighters the way Joe Louis did for African american fighters.

            yeah.

they have a lot more wins and a lot more losses too.

the losses can be explained though because when you're fighting 10 times a year it's easy to lay an egg.

especially when you don't have 2 months to prepare for a fight like modern fighters do.

though they did stay in better shape and were sharper because of how active they were.

I think Manny would fight Martinez if the money is right. But I doubt it would be 154lbs. but perhaps 150lbs may do. I don't know just my thoughts

How is that? There has been great asian fighters in the passed who I could say open the doors for Pac. I mean could even say Pancho Villa and Flash Elorde opened the doors for Pac. As filipino greats. See the big misconception here on boxingscene is that Pac is the first great fighter out of the Philippines. And, that is not true Villa and Flash were great also. Not too long ago maybe like 2 or 3yrs ago I was ranking them ahead of Pac all time. I think Pac surpassed them. I agree that Pac is the greatest asian fighter of all time. But, I don't know if he opened the door for asian fighters. I don't think he has changed the face of boxing. But, he has achieved a lot.

And, Greb was amazing bro. He only lossed 20 times in 300 fights and 2 of them were against an ATG in Tiger Flowers at the tail end of his career yet by all accounts Greb deserved to win both fights. Dude was a master boxer. I put him ahead of Ali. Ali is awesome too is really splitting hairs.

I wasnt reffering to Pacquiao as being the 1st great fighter out of the philippines or even out of asia.

What i meant by Pacquiao changing the face of boxing and opening doors for asian fighters the way Ali and Louis have is this...

Before Pacquiao's rise to stardom asia had always been considered to have great fighters, but never premiere spotlight fighters. Elorde for as great as he was would have never gotten top billing over an american fighter the way the world is willing to now because of Pacquiao.

For as many world champions the philippines has had before Pacquiao it still always seemed an afterthought to more popular sports like basketball in the philippines because of the small percentage of people who pursued boxing as a career. But now Pacquiao has not just inspired an entire generation of young men in his country to lace up gloves, but inspired his government to include boxing as part of physical education curricullum for schools. Such inspiration from a fighter hasnt been seen since Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis inspiring entire generations of young men to follow in their footsteps.
