    How is williams overrated???

Martinez is a Slick VERY Good fighter that would give ANY 154-160 pd fighter a tough fight. Just because he brought The TOUGHNESS, Heart, and Will of Williams means Williams is OVERRATED. That isn't fair at all. Both of these guys are avoided by the TOP DOGS of the sport.
Martinez is a CHAMPION at 154, and is no sucker. This was a close fight, but it isn't fair to say Williams is Overrated because he BARELY won. This is what happens when you put 2 OUTSTANDING fighters in the ring together. You get fights like this.
So the Hate for Williams needs to stop because the guy is all heart and guts. He got hit with some shot in there that others would have gotten stopped by. Williams impressed me a whole lot with his heart. He looked gassed the last couple rounds, but managed to finish.

The rematch with Martinez will look a lot like the rematch with Quintana went.

Paul was trying to fight a righty, then had to switch up to a lefty, just like he did before the first Quintana fight, and he STILL won clearly. Once he gets a full camp to work on Martinez's tendencies, he'll destroy him.

He's a very skilled fighter. Good infighter for someone so long. Solid speed. Good power. Great stamina and really good combinations.

That being said, he can be puzzled with lateral movement. Countering/speed can dazzle him. he can be hurt and he is off balance sometimes.

He's overrated because he's treated like a God. That automatically makes him overrated because he's not unbeatable. No one is.

Anytime someone's hype reaches that level, to me, they are automatically overrated.

stfu, martinez was robbed. Sergio put on a Quintana style beating on him and Williams had 2 months to prepare for this lefty so don't even get on that bull****. Paul Williams simply isn't as good as everybody says he is. He's a fighter with a good chin, workrate, speed, power, combination punching but thats it. No ring smarts or defense.

overrated is not necessarily a bad thing it just means you are not as good as you are made out to be and paul williams is made out to be unbeatable but he sure as hell looked beatable today

he was overrated cause many thought he was p4p top 10 ... if he was he shoulda been a class above martinez in reality and this fight shouldnt have been so tough. seem like the truth is he cant deal well with movers with speed and countering ability

someone in his team paid that judge to score the fight 119-110.

that makes him not as good as we thought.

                Robbed? Give me a break.

The 119-110 was a joke, but if he scored it 115-113 you'd just shrug your shoulders and agree that it was a close fight. Paul Williams won either way according to the judges.

Personally, I agree the fight could have gone either way. I probably would have scored it a draw. Just depends what the judges were looking for. Williams threw more punches, Martinez threw harder punches.

Martinez is a very tough guy and the only option in my opinion is for a rematch for these two.

It's not that Williams is overrated. Martinez is underrated.
