Really good point. Fights like this ruin fighters. They need a break. Good post.

I know exactly how to score fights. I know what a robbery is.

If a judge scores a fight so lopsidedly that they give Martinez only ONE round, I have no choice but to assume that he was bribed in some way. I can't see it any other way.

THAT.. is what makes it a robbery.

ha a rematch? are you kidding

Paul is too famous for that Martinez had his chance (by luck) geting this fight. Paul will move on to bigger and better fights like he deserves.

          What was your score?

It was not a robbery. I can agree that either they are bought off or just ****ing incompetent. To me a robbery is when the fight is CLEARLY won by one guy and I'm sorry this was the definition of a close fight.

I also found myself wishing this was a 15 rounder.

I find it funny that guys are screaming robbery on here that normally score for AGGRESSION (ineffective or otherwise) or at least claim they do since they never score **** but HERE because of nationalism, racism or just general fighter bias are now yelling Robbery.

I had it a Draw. Props to both fighters.

Stop ****ting on either one. There should be a rematch. The 119 scorecards were insane. Both want one, let's do it.

Stop ****ting on the announce team. They were divided 50 percent which on a close fight like this with hard rounds to score makes sense.

**** on the culprits: the judges that had that insane score for a close fight (this is not a robbery just ridiculous judging. A robbery is when one person clearly won the fight and doesn't get it).

I had it a draw personally. I'd be fine if Martinez had won it. He fought a GREAT fight. Both guys showed heart, courage and skill. Let's applaud them.
            That's the truth right there.

            Sticky that ****.

Paul said he'd be okay with it. Why aren't you? Afraid?

Like I said I'm not calling it a "draw". That was my initial score card. I had it very similar to Lederman going into the final rounds, I just didn't see Paul pulling out BOTH rounds.

What do you score for? Let's compare score cards.

Go back to crying about robberies idiot.

Again I'm fine with either guy winning. I'm NOT fine with 119 scores.

I have a REASON (several reasons) why I'm not fine with this. I'm also of two minds of the fight: That Martinez was countering really well but would stop for several rounds and take time off for whatever reason. Paul was using aggression but it was not always EFFECTIVE. In a fight like this a lot of close shots are missed and need to be rewatched sometimes to see if they connect.

In any case, Paul look my hurt on the outside but kept coming. Martinez looked fresh on his stool mostly but his legs seemed gone near the end.

                  Aww...so sensitive!!!..so I'm a moron and an idiot?

I don't score fights round by round on a tally live..as I watch it..I keep track on a 1pt system (2pts for KD) and keep up with that..and I stated before that I'll go round by round in tomorrow's rerun on HBO

I had Martinez 7-5..and even stated (if you go back and look) that it could be a draw..

Now I was joking here..and was mocking ur original post..but the one with high blood pressure and on a rampage here seems to be you with the childish name calling..so I'll just you bust a vessel while you state the obvious on a site where everyone is overrated/underrated and a biased nuthugger/hater..

You're thread opened my eyes to how ****** NSB really is..thanks man..without this thread..I woulda had no CLUE!..

I dunno about that lol but yeah that's fine. I can easily see Martinez or Paul up by 2-3 rounds either way. All pretty acceptable scoring from what I saw unless I missed something.

I had it close for Marinez. However, it was a close fight with close rounds. IMO, a draw or close decision for either guy is possible.

It seems that people are outraged by one bogus card or their bias.
