I think Mitchell clearly won and did so by a fairly wide margin - but he did run A LOT. You have a hard time winning championships like that. Many judges won't give rounds to a challenger who fights like Mitchell did tonight. I think it was a smart way to fight though. He clearly had a game plan and stuck to it - but Prescott is not a champion. I just think he will need to be a bit less mobile to win a belt.

I dont get this whole notion of him running. He was in Prescotts punching range the whole fight,an what he did was move out of the way when ever prescott telegraphed his punches which he did all night. Whats he supposed to do? Stand still and get hit? Prescott is a heavy hitter,but crude.

I think Mitchell could have maybe been a little more aggresive,but to say he ran is a bit silly.

Mitchell fought a great fight. I agree with Roger Mellie, however, that he could have been a little more aggressive and gotten into Prescott's chest a bit more to finish the fight in a more spectacular fashion.

agreed that would have been nice, but wouldnt have been if he slipped up and got splattered lol. I think he knew Prescott could have taken him out with one big shot, maybe his missus told him no sex if you come home looking a mess lol

At the half way stage Prescott had landed 9% of his punches and that was his hgood half of the fight, Mitchell boxed his ears off.

As for the running bull****, he didn't run, he was in range and made Prescott miss while throwing effective counters for the first 2 mins of most round and in roughly half he stepped up the pace in the final minute and landed clean and effective offencive work against a much bigger man.

I scored it 118-111 and I thought I was being generous to Prescott at times.

Mitchell looked great. I had never seen him fight before. He basically fought a perfect fight and was entertaining while doing it (at least judging by what I saw. I turned on the stream around the 5th round.)

mitchell looked fantastic though and FOR THE MOST PART gave a fantastic exhibition of hitting without getting hit, whilst still being within range of his foe - his off the ropes work was fantastic........anybody else thinking how mouthwatering a clash with john murray would be?

lol i agree kev is normally a brawler. showed he has good skills!!

Mitchell showed he can be patient and box at a higher level. Having said that i think he lacks a few things which would prevent him from being a world champion.
