actually, its a bad atmosphere to hold the fight, and always has been. Best crowds always used to be in Detroit, New York, Philadelphia, etc. when fights were held at the basketball arenas

"Sin City".
Vegas is the current mecca of boxing for a reason. However, it wouldn't hurt to see a big fight at another sight.
Wasn't sure if you were referring to Vegas or New Jersey.

I think it would be amazing to have it in the Cowboys stadium but a fight with this magnitude has to be in Sin City!!

To not have the biggest fight in this decade in the city of Sin would be a sin in itself. Who gives a **** about the Cowboys stadium and the ******ed huge screen. I understand it could seat more people, but really would it be worth it to be watching it at the nosebleed seats? You ain't gonna be seeing **** unless you have a pair of binos. Yeah you could watch the fight on the big screen, but isn't that the same as watching it at home on PPV????? Would it be really worth it? Maybe, for some people.
Another thing that's already been mentioned, THERE AINT **** IN DALLAS. Compared to the Vegas strip there ain't **** there. I don't know about you, but the biggest selling point of watching it in Vegas is being around the atmosphere. The atmosphere is definitely different from just a normal day in Vegas than when there's a big venue going on. It's the whole experience leading up to the evening of the fight that makes it great. Tell me what you'd be doing in Dallas leading up to the evening? Ain't not a damn thing compared to what you could be doing in Vegas.

This goes back to what Dana White said awhile back. That, the boxing promoters don't care about the sport, they just care about the quick $$$ scheme and not really care about the future of boxing.Last edited by NYU Alum.; 12-05-2009, 10:02 PM.

This fight WILL be in Vegas
No way any place besides Vegas gets this fight. Top Rank and GBP are just using Dallas' interest in the fight to squeeze more benefits outta Vegas. You know how many Casino owners in Vegas have contacted Arum and GBP about side cash to bring those people into town? The money that would be spent in Vegas outside and away from the fight with those people coming in would tower over the money spent in Dallas. Trust me the casino's are gonna pony up money to get that fight to Vegas. I just wished they would do the fight in May when it is warmer.....and I would have the money for ringside seats...lol

I think the odds of this going to Cowboys Stadium are slim but it would be great for boxing if it landed there. The hardcore and casual fans who weren't rich could attend it. The atmosphere in the stadium with over 100k people would be electric. Even if you only sat in the nosebleeds you would have an amazing experience and easily be able to see the fight on the big screens (way different atmosphere than watching the PPV). The size of the crowd alone would more attention to the the even than if it was in a 30k seat arena in Vegas.
I really don't have any chance of actually attending it either way but I still hope it lands in Dallas.
