Why would it be illegal to use a Diuretic?

I mean even beer is a Diuretic. Unless that drug does something else other than being just a Diuretic, I don't see the big deal. I mean I can see the danger it poses to him in a fight, as being dehydrated in a fight is risking head injury or renal failure, but I cannot see why he would be suspended for it. maybe a warning?

I want to know WHY the drug is banned.

Most controlled drugs will be against the rules and regs of most sports unless there a medical reason. Cortisone for example. It's simple, he took a controlled/banned substance. Furosemide is a far more powerful diuretic than alcohol or caffeine, so he clearly tried to get an advantage by taking it. Diuretics are also known to be used as masking agents for other drugs. Boxing needs to be clean, I say ban him for 12 months.

I just wiki searched the drug "furosemide" and it was added to the World Anti-Doping Agency's banned drug list because it was commonly used as a masking agent for other drugs.

This does not look good for JCCJ. I'd bet he only uses it to help cut water weight but now the steroid su****ion will be there.

The real reason is that he uses steroids! Diuretics are used to mask steroid use, he's a cheating scumbag like that other piece of **** known as Margarita!

Actually, he is right about diuretics being used to mask other drugs so his accusation isn't very far off. It's quite plausible.
