pacman not in the same league as mayweather!!!

    facts:

    mayweather is: ppv king

    faster hand speed

    faster on his feet

    bigger and stronger

technically gifted, skills unmatched so far

    longer wingspan

    more experienced at welterweight

great trainers, being ex pro fighters themselves

not distracted by politics, singing or acting.... even mistresses, coz he is very much a bachelor himself you see.

with all of these factors..... a fight against the pacman would be a mismatch

    floyd wins overwhelmingly!!!

Not true at this time, but irrelevant to the outcome.

      faster hand speed
In single punches, maybe, but he throws mainly single shots these days. Pacquiao is faster in combinations.

      faster on his feet
      Arguable.

      bigger and stronger
Size alone doesn't win fights, and who is stronger is debatable.

technically gifted, skills unmatched so far
In terms of traditional boxing skills, I agree.

      longer wingspan
      True.

      more experienced at welterweight
Not really. How many welterweights has Floyd fought? And Manny is more experienced overall, he has almost as many KO's as Floyd has fights.

great trainers, being ex pro fighters themselves
Roach is better. Just my opinion.

not distracted by politics, singing or acting.... even mistresses, coz he is very much a bachelor himself you see.
Makes no difference to Pacquiao, apparently. He trains in typhoons for the biggest fight of his life, simultaneously shoots a movie, even books himself to do a concert after the fight. Claiming Pacquiao is distracted doesn't stand up as an argument whatsoever.

with all of these factors..... a fight against the pacman would be a mismatch
You have a very simplistic view.

      floyd wins overwhelmingly!!!
Cotto was bigger, supposedly stronger, better boxer, not distracted, more experienced at WW, etc. But WTF did it matter in the end?

Technical skills don't always win fights, and this will be a fight, not a boxing match. Mayweather is the better boxer. Pacquiao is the better fighter. Hatton was the better fighter than Malignaggi, but since Hatton had no respect for his (lack of) power, Paulie's technical skills went out the window.

Both of these guys are able to beat the other. Suggesting that because one has the more solid boxing skills he will automatically win is foolish. You are missing out a lot of fine details.

Baldomir: Get real. That ain't even a challenge.
Hatton: LOL. Everyone already knew he ****** at WW long before fighting Floyd.
Marquez: SFW, at best a lightweight.

        That's Floyd's experience as a WW.

I'd take Manny's win over Cotto over any of those.

Well, one of the biggest complaints about Floyd's WW run (if you can call it that) is that he's done pretty much nothing. Last time he fought a real WW was when? 2006? That was Baldomir, who currently has 12 losses and maybe a 20% KO ratio in over 60 fights, and who is technically limited and slow. Judah always ****** at WW, 5 of his 6 losses are at the weight, IIRC. Sharmba Mitchell is average. Who else? Oscar? Well, Floyd weighed 150, so we can't call it a WW fight, and he struggled to get an SD anyway.

I just don't see anything impressive about Mayweather at WW. At 130 and 135 he was a beast, but that was six years ago.

Yeah agree with you, FLoyd is no doubt one of the most talented boxer, he's gifted. But when he moved up in weight he couldn't do much of what he used to when he was still in the lower weights, to aggravate things, he hasn't fought any threat or should we say TOP WWs.

You gotta be kidding. Pacquiao's footwork is being seriously underrated here.
