Look I am a huge fan of JT, but after 3 brutal ko's in his last 4 fights it's time to hang it up. Lucian Bute is coming off of an impressive ko victory over Andrade, and is really the only thing missing from this tournament. He holds one of the super middleweight titles so why not sort out who is the best. HBO is trying to set up a Pavlik-Bute matchup which is intriguing. However, I would rather see Bute come in for JT and fight Ward in round 2 of the Super Six.
Lucian Bute should take Jermain Taylor's spot in the Super Six

Bute can't even if he wanted too for two reason...
1. His promoter doesn't want him to enter the super-six with a loss already to deal with (Taylor loss) and the fact that they weren't invited the first time irks him.
2. And even if Bute promoter has a change of heart, one of the stipulation of HBO airing the Bute/Andrade II is that HBO will have exclusive rights over both the winner (Bute) and the loser (Andrade) next fight.
So this not only keeps Bute out of the super six but Andrade as well. -
^^^ What She said.
Lucian Bute isnt going to be entering the Super Six. Frankly, he probably likes having the spotlight on him at HBO, and he probably likes the fact that any SMW that can beat him will be caught in a tournament against the other five for the next two years.Comment

I have been saying this for awhile. Taylor is fighting for a title next after being brutally ko'd in his last two bouts! He is getting a title shot even though he lost 4 of his last five fights(ko'd in 3 of them). Bute would be the obvious choice but he is owned by HBO, so if that can't happen perhaps Allan Green, less qualified than Bute but a live fighter and contender.Comment
