Whitaker was very accurate himself. You have to take into account that Mayweather doesn't throw that many punches. It shouldn't be hard for past greats to have been that accurate if they concentrated on single shots.

All time: Rjj in his prime.

Now is Mayweather followed closely by Vitali Klitschko.

Even though I cant stand Floyd, he is the most accurate, its been documented and said many times on HBO broadcast, backed up by stats.

You look at Ray Robinson fights and the guy would throw what looked to be incredibly wild punches and they were pin point accurate.

You can look at some of Ali's fights - like with Cleavland Williams - and it is absolutely amazing.

Jones did some great things too - especially at 168. The 8 punch combinations, that would all land.

James Toney is a very slick fighter - and he did some very accurate punching.

Floyd Patterson was also very accurate.

However; there is no doubt Floyd Mayweather is a very accurate puncher. I love the shot that got Hatton - it really was poetry.

Probably the best fighter who faced the worst competition.
