I don't think it will go down as a very good one because he ducked alot of good possible matches at 147.

Whether you love him or hate him, you can't deny that Floyd Mayweather is a incredible talent. At his best and focused his would be a problem for any fighter past or present.

Mayweather is a defensive master. He has mastered the art of the shoulder roll defence. His parrying, blocking, and slipping is second to none. He is also one of the fastest fighters to put on a pair of gloves, Mayweathers punchers are that fast and crisp, most of the time who don't even see them coming.

He is also a master at fighting off the ropes, and he can adapt to any situation and style. When in the Prizering, he is as relaxed as can be, he almost look's at times like his is as comfortable in a ring as he is in his home. He has cat like reflexes, and seems to see punchers coming from a mile away.

Kevin Iole said that the late great Eddie Futch said that The's seen Floyd Mayweather make moves that he hasn't seen anyone make in 50 years.

It's a shame that he hasnt took more risks and career defiening fights to cerment his place with the greats. Although his resume of victories is rather impressive.

But that dosent tell the whole story. Mayweather in the past has missed out on fights with the likes of Winky Wright, Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, and now it looks like Manny Pacquiao.

Victories over these fighters at one stage or another would of gained him the greatness and recongsition he craves. Although he would never do it, I would also like Mayweather to fight current 160lb King Kelly Pavlik.

Call me crazy. But if Mayweather could do this, his name is up there with the greats. And it's not a impossible task as some would make out.

Roberto Duran started off as a Featherweight and would go on to defeated Middlweight King Iran Barkely. Bob Fitsimmons Held Titles From Middleweight to Heavyweight.

One Time Welterweight Champion Micky Walker held future Heavyweight Champion Jack Sharkey to a draw.

Former Lightweight Title Challager Sam Langford was once the number #1 Heavyweight Contender. Henry Armstrong won the Welterweight Title while reigining Featherweight Champion and weighing just 124lb.

Ray Robinson went up to challage Light Heavyweight Champion Joe Maxim while weighing no more than a 154lb.

All these example's are prove than it can be done. In todays boxing world weight is to much of a issue.

If Mayweather put the right amount of size on he could more than go up and challage Pavlik.

This is why the fighters of the past are rated were they are.

I can pretty much sum it up quickly... One of the most technically sound boxers of this or any generation... His win of Corrales is one of the most brillians performances i've ever seen in my life at 130-135 pounds I can think of very few fighters IN HISTORY that could pose a true challenge to him... 5 division champion, two of them lineal, never won a vacant title, rank P4P for over 10 years... But His greatness has come into question i'd say within the last 3-4 years when he fought Carlos Baldomir instead of Antonio Margarito and fought Juan Marquez for his recent return fight instead of Shane Mosley.. I'm not gonna bring Miguel Cotto into the question because Bob Arum never wanted that fight... Though there can be some justification in both cases ive stated there's still disappointment there from the fan aspect, enough to put a dent in ones career... Though he shelled out two great performances in his last two fights... This Pacquiao fight is very important to his legacy; one thing that Pacquiao fans have said that I can agree with is that, "Floyd need this fight more then Manny does"...Though "both" fighters need this fight because If Pacquio didnt fight Floyd and rode off into the sunset there will also be the question of, "could Manny beat Floyd" so that is Manny's need for the fight... But Floyd taking and winning this fight is much more important to his legacy then Manny's... This fight ends all critisim Floyd has had within the last few years and pretty much whipes those two instances of question from his career clean... Floyd is an ATG, but beating Manny Pacquiao is something he has to do... AND WILL DO
