Mayweather was calling out Mosley when he was 21, why so protective of Cotto?

Yes like Hoya when he was the ring and lineal champ at 154, undefeated HoFer Ricky Hatton 43-0 and the champion at 140, the p4p #2 Juan Manuel Marquez. Name another fighter who fought through this level of competition IN THEIR 30's. You'd have to go back to Hagler and Leonard to find one really.

I'm not protective over Cotto I'm just giving you a fact. If Floyd was calling out Cotto he only did it when Cotto was young and still a bit Green. And Floyd calling out Mosely at 21 is so laughable I don't even know what to say. When Floyd was 21 he was still an up and coming Super Featherweight while Mosely was already at welterweight fighting Oscar and Vernon Forrest. So if Floyd did in fact call out Shane when he was 21 then he was a super featherweight calling out a welterweight so it was obvious a fight that wasn't gonna get made and floyd wasn't in any danger of Shane accepting the challange.

After he left Arum, he pretty much assumed full control of his career. This means he had the power to make or break any fight he wanted. Since then, he hasn't taken any fights against any fighters that were even a remote threat to him. Whether its deserved or not, its his rep, he needs to work overt time to change it.

It seems to me that Mayweather didn’t get the reputation as a “Ducker” until Bob Arum started spewing it into the media and websites AFTER Mayweather left Top Rank....Bob Arum BITTER about his STAR leaving Top Rank went on a Media Blitz to discredit Mayweather while attempting to push his fighter MARGARITO in the limelight by promoting "fear propaganda" and associating his name to Mayweather's......I mean this is the same Bob Arum that didn't want to put Miguel Cotto in with Mayweather when they were @140lbs and BOTH with Top Rank.....now Mayweather is scared of Cotto?

here is a direct quote from Bob Arum about Floyd Mayweather b4 the Mayweather-Judah fight (which happens to be Mayweather's last fight on Top Rank)

                Bob Arum on Mayweather:

"Floyd is the best fighter i’ve seen in 40 years other than the young Muhammad Ali, there are a number of aspects that make a great fighter. One is speed. His speed is phenomenal. The way he throws punches, phenomenal. The way he is conditioned, phenomenal. I mean, he’s the entire whole package. And beside all of those skills he’s the most intelligent fighter that I have ever seen. I mean, Floyd, this is no bull****; Floyd can see a punch coming before the other guy knows he’s going to throw it. Do you understand that? I mean, I have never seen such ring intelligence that Floyd demonstrates. And so he’s the whole package, and you know, Ray Leonard was a great fighter, Marvin Hagler was a great fighter, Duran certainly was great, Oscar had a couple of years where he was very good, but there’s nobody that is a whole package like Floyd."

I wonder why Mayweather wasn't considered a ducker until he bought out his contract for Bob Arum for 750K and made 8 Million vs Carlos Baldomir, 25 Million vs Oscar De La Hoya, 20 Million vs Ricky Hatton????

It's because Floyd got away from him and made millions, appeared on WWE, dancing with the stars, became the face of boxing almost over night, all because Mayweather had the foresight to leave Bob Arum for 750,000 dollars. Its obvious Bob arum hasn’t been able to live it down , he now spends his time trying to verbally destroy mayweather whenever possible!
Floyd calls out big names after the fight but that doesnt means that floyd is sincere about that until he signed the fight contract. rofl

I think the point of the videos is that there was no contract to sign because these guys weren't willing to step up to Mayweather. That includes Mosley.

I didn't read through the pages but I am guessing this one was full of.......shall I say, less than flattering banter between the various factions.
