This is a ploy to get the fight at 147. It's like asking for 60/40 to get to the eventual 50/50. You don't start out asking for 50/50 right away or they will **** you.

By asking for 154, he hopes to get 147. If he had asked for 147, Manny's people would've asked for that catchweight of145, and this negates that.

both were against natural 140 guys. ricky hatton and 36 yr. old sharmba mitchell who lost 3 of his last 5 fights by ko.

If this is true, Im thinking Its maybe Floyds way of countering any demands from Team Pac for the fight to be at a weight lower than 147.

If he asks for 154, then he can compromise to come down to 147. If he asks for 147 initailly then it will be harder for him to get that actual weight.

Just like when a car salesman prices a car 5k more then what he'll actually sell it for.If he drops 5k off the car right in front of you , youre proably gonna feel like you got a deal.
