de la hoya got to choose the gloves and weight!!sooo why can't mayweather????????????????????????
simple, becuase back then... Delahoya was the superstar! and Floyd was just a "best" fighter out there but not a superstar yet... In this fight the contract is 50-50 and they are both superstars....
what make u thinks he forgets? Because he likes himself and is a arrogant?
I will finish this irrelevant argument with a quote from one of my favorite songs by Hector Lavoe and i'll translate it for you... "Everything has its ending, NOTHING lasts forever." The only thing ppl will remember Floyd by is that he's an arrogant prick, maybe he'll remember where he came from when he's old, hairy and saggy.
no need for 154 .. both fight in the welterweight division
until I hear it official, I'd see the fight happening at Welterweight, with no catchweight involved
hopefully the 154 is just Roach's delusional usual rambling.
**I caught an interview with Roach post Cotto fight where he says "we'd beat Cotto at any weight" then later acknowledges about Cotto "spending much of the training camp struggling to make the weight"
he's (Roach) really lucky the media hasn't caught or paid more attention to comments like that, because they just make him look like a slimy yellow bellied coward.
But pac want's to fight yuri foreman at 154lbs then this fight should not be a problem at 154lbs with 10oz gloves.
Fighting Foreman at 154 gives Pacman a shot at having titles in 8 divisions..risk worth taking, not to mention the fact that Foreman doesn't have the skills of Floyd in the first place. Pacman giving up some of his advantages in speed and power moving up yet another weightclass (using 10oz gloves to boot) against Mayweather is another matter.
If you believe Mayweather saying he could win against Pacman "against any circumstances" then he would win against Pacman even at 140 using 8oz gloves and at a date when Pacman can heal and train properly... otherwise, this is just Floyd doing another Floyd move.
