    Boxer legs and Power

a lot of boxers have skinny legs. do they lose power in their punches by having smaller legs? how important are the legs in punching power?

I guess you're right, it's the strength in the legs that mostly matters. any idea if boxers have a target when training in terms of leg size to upper body size? is there a standard proportion that they aim to achieve?

Yeah, It definitely is one of the most important parts of your body in Boxing. If you don't have leg power, you don't have any speed and strength behind your punch.

Some of the hardest hitting fighters of all-time had twigs for legs: Thomas Hearns, Carlos Monzon, Sandy Saddler, Bob Foster.
