Tito's not getting any younger but I think the two year layoff helped him more than it hurt him. Sturm is still not polished enough to beat Tito. What's going to happen when Tito gets pass that jab which he will if that's all Sturm has. If Sturm doesn't throw anything that can back Tito off then he will punish Sturm. Winky Wright is much more polished than Sturm and I think Tito will eventually break him down for the decision.

Ok. I am going to step in and disagree with you on this one McKay. Felix has been fighting very well as of late. He was robbed....as you know against DLH. He fought a very game opponent in Schenk, who should not be considered a legitimate threat....but no pushover. Compare the people Sturm has been facting to someone the likes of a Highly regarded "Taylor".

Competition is very similar. The fashion in which he demolished Hacine Cherifi, in three rounds, when it took William Joppy the distance to do so. Joppy floored him twice....Felix completely bombed his ass.(bad comparisons, I rarely use) as well as beating Bert Shchenk by K.O. 2......goes to show that he is filling his shoes as a fighter. I totally agree with the ring rankings, having him at #1. Considering he is on a roll ever since losing to DLH (actually winning), and destroying his opponents with ferocious precision.

This guy is the real deal. Trust Sturmrules when he brags about this him. He is a legitimate threat to beat anyone in the middleweight division. Two people who would give him significant trouble would be Vargas and Tito IMO. He has never really been tested against a hispanic fighter, who can crack. We will find out soon enough, and I think his chin will hold up.

Sturm, IMO can beat Tito but as far as beating Hopkins? I wouldn't bet on it.

Sturm is definitely a contender but he has to fight Taylor or somebody else good to prove his performance agaisnt De La Hoya was not just a fluke or due to the fact that De La Hoya has slowed down alot and is overrated drastically at this point.

I have to say this because Sturm's opposition has not been the best outside of the De La Hoya fight. Plus all his fights besides the De La Hoya fight were in Germany except for 2 or 3 in Hungary.
I think Sturm is a good fighter but you have to take in consideration that De La Hoya was out of shape for that fight. I will say that Sturm got robbed and De La Hoya got the decision because...well... hes Oscar De La Hoya.

sturm does more then jab, but i can see most people not paying attention to someone they dont like, but u all will see, cause there is a reason ring magazine has him number 1. remember folks u dont have to KO every man u fight in 1 round to be good. the sport is called "boxing" for a reason . style wise id heavly favor sturm over tito

                      Point being though:

He has been punching like a mutha****a as of late. He Has newfound power, as well as confidence that seems to grow fight by fight. Why in the hell would it be any different against anyone he faces IMO. He bombed Shchenk like a stealth fighter.

If he "picks and chooses" his shots, lookda****out. Seriously.
