    Salita v Kotelnik

    Hi guys

Iv never seen a full fight of salita only highlights, what kind of level is he on? Is he better or worse then kotelnik and if they fought who do you think would win.

Want to know what khan is in for this weekend before I order the fight

Him and Kotelnik are very different. Although in ratings they are probably about the same. However, Salita hasn't really fought any NAME. Salita will get KO'ed by Amir Khan. Amir Khan has the talent to be an ATG. Amir will annihalate Salita.

When you mean different do you mean style wise or ability? Do you think salita could win a world title or do you think he will always be fringe material

Kotelnik is a much better all round fighter than Salita.

Put it this way, Kotelnik outboxed Maidana to a decision victory, and was caught flush several times by Maidana, yet never really hurt. He has never been down in his career.
Kotelnik also (in my view) beat Junior Witter, and is an olympic silver medalist. so clearly Kotelnik is an experienced fighter, with skill and a very good chin.

Compare that to salita, Who hit the deck twice in round 1 against Ramone Montano (7% ko ration) So clearly Salita has chin issues, in fact its possible he has a worse chin than Khan, who was at least floored by guys with over 50% ko's. Salita then went on to Draw with Montano who has 7 losses to some very average fighters. Also Salita has no experience fighting top level guys. He supposedly has a good left hook, but I have seen it and it's nothing special.

In his last fight Salita won a decision over Raul Munoz, (ranked over 400 in the world) who has been stopped 9 times. this is not evidence of anything special in the punching power department, neither is Salita's 50% ko ratio.

Kotelnik is a B level fighter, B+ on his best day

Salita is a C- level fighter, C on his best day

Thanks a lot, exactly what I was looking for, I thought salita might be better than this based on a few cute moves I saw in his highlights, but they were obviously against sub-par fighters. If salita can't take a shot than he is in big trouble against khan, who lands often
