a little bit wild when fighting?
I'm planning on starting boxing soon and I decided to watch a couple amateur bouts (at the request of some club owners) so I did.
What I wanted to ask was (and this is the laymen in me asking) is do these fighters appear to be a lot more wilder when fighting? I see a LOT of swings, almost like they're out of control, and some of these people are in their 25th bouts or more. I'm so use to watching professional boxing that it appears the pro's a lot more controlled and nonchalant in their approach, yes?
So to those who have been boxing for a while, have you noticed that you go a lot slower in your attacks/choices when swinging during your fights? Is this 'control' something new fighters ignore or something that only comes with experience?
edit: Also, I'm 22, that isn't too old to start, yes?
