Boxer-puncher is probably best. Punching IS a determining factor in skill/talent just as accuracy, defense and ring generalship are. If power did not count then every time a puncher KOed a boxer the bout should be disqualified.according to the logic of some of you.
Punching power= great boxer.
since when is power a dertermening factor for boxing skills. Oh Calzaghe didn't knock out Roy, so he sucks; Paulie is feather fisted so he sucks. WTF. I thought Boxing was about skills, yet some of you make it seem as if being great, or good is determined by power.Comment

My argument is that people write off boxers because they lack knockout power; wtf? that's ****** bro, but I agree with your post.Comment

you mentioned Paulie. Okay Paulie has skills but he gets knocked out of whooped every big fight he has "COTTO, HATTON" therefore he is not great. He will never be an ATG.
Calzaghe couldn't KNOCK OUT a SHOT roy Jones who just got KO'd in the first rounds by the IBO champ. How does that make him look?? plus he punches like a sissy.
THose weren't good examples to use for boxers who didn't have power.
Good examples would have been Sweat Pea because he had BRILLIANT defensive skills, but lacked punching power.
Harry Greb won almost 300 fights but only has like 40 sumin KO's.
Willie Pep didn't have great punching power but is one of the Greatest defensive fighter of all time
Even Corey Spinks would have been a better example because he won some big fights by using his boxing skills and lacks punching power. Very good boxerComment
