Roy Jones Jr. vs Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Let's just assume they are both in their primes and both 147 welters, who takes this? I could see them missing a lot, both are too fast and quick for each other, but I guess Roy takes it because of his one punch KO power if ever he connects with it.

    Your thoughts?

the problem here is floyd is heavy at 147 and roy jones would be throwing punches that cant be seen
i doubt jones would be capable of making the weight

maybe if they fought when jones was 17 or somethin

A fantasy matchup if they could both make 147?

          I'd take Jones.

I mean, let's just think they're both of the same weight and in their primes! I didn't say somebody going down or up in weight!

Let's freakin' assume they both fight at welterweight, who wins it? Who's style prevails?

Roy's first few fights as a pro were in the 147-150 lb range, according to boxrec anyway.

This fight would have to be at 154, where Floyd would make 150 like in the DLH fight.

              Result:

              Roy sodomizes Floyd.

Don't you think that Toney being weight drained had something to do with that fights outcome? The problem with Jones's style is that because it is so unorthodox it must be hard for opponents to prepare for it. If it was possible for Jones and Mayweather to fight at 147, I would go with Jones.

I'd take Jones, i think he's quicker than Mayweather and would be able to get off first.

Toney is still dangerous even without conditioning. You know that.
