Boxing needs rivalries and not ducking

    Best fighters around had rivalries

    Ali-Frazier - 3 fights
    Bowe-Holyfield - 3 fights
    Robinson - Lamotta - 5-6 fights
    Leonard - Duran - 3 fights
    Tyson - Holyfield - 2 fights
heck, even Gatti - Ward 3 fights!!
    etc etc etc

Why is it top fighters today are a afraid of rivalries, stepping into the ring with the best to have a war and go at it again 6 month later? This is what boxing needs, rivalries is what keeps the sport going. Not ducking and picking out opponents. Today top fighters BARELY fight each other 1 time. just 10-15 years ago they went at it 3 times. Ducking and politics man.. It's a killer.

lopez vs gamboa impending rivalry is what im really excited about...

for years ive been trumpeting guerrero vs linares but it seems that brewing rivalry just died a natural death... (it would have been a great rivalry)

              hasegawa vs donaire...

              katsidis-barrios...
