its all about bad timing. Politics is a huge thing in the Philipines. Pac wouldnt able to prepare for training against Floyd because he would be busy campaigning

Timing is a great thing in boxing because both fighters have to be at the same place at the right time for the fight to come off i agree but excuses about how you want 50-50 but now you want 60-40, You want to fight Mayweather in March but Mayweather would say no but then Mayweather said yes but now you need more time to prepare, Then they have election in May so the fight cant happen in May.. Its all making Pac look different to me especially with all the threads from his fan on boxingscene last week telling Mayweather to "Sign the contract", I have said it before that it takes two to tango and i have been proven right again.

NO BOXERS fights for the fans they all do it for the money/family so if one boxer wants to pretend like Hatton and pacquiao does then fine but dont slate another one who came out and say it like it is about how he fights for the money.

Despite reports Tuesday that Mayweather agreed to terms and that a Pacquiao fight was virtually set, Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach cautioned Wednesday that that idea was premature because the Filipino star hadn't reviewed any contract terms.

Roach, in a telephone conversation from England, said, "Manny believes he should get a 60-40 [purse] split too, because he did better in pay-per-view than Mayweather this year. Manny's the bigger draw."


This could be a game of leverage too. Mayweather's camp may want to appear more receptive to a deal, casting Pacquiao as the one holding up the welterweight super-bout for more money


Notice the word "too" . i think he still believes PBF wants 60/40 in his favor.

Also notice the lines "the Filipino star hadn't reviewed any contract terms" .It only means PAC wasn't yet aware what the contract is all about, if it's 50/50 @ 147 or whatever.

Conclusion: It' all Roach bitchi'n and we all riding along with him! LOL!

Dear Floyd,
please take the 50-50 split?! Beat Pacquiao's ass and never have to take less than your future opponents ever again. That would shut all the detractors up.
Roach knows Mayweather beats his fighter. That's his plan. Have Pac fight an easy fight for a nice piece of change and another meaningless title against another softie. Then he fights Mayweather for his biggest purse ever, loses, retires and begins his political aspirations.
If he fights Mayweather now and loses, in any fashion, he loses his P4P spot and cash cow status.
Also, I would like to comment on something that someone brought up on another post.
And that is regarding the fact that Pacquiao won't fight black fighters. First of all, it's not playing the race card so save all the comments that I'm sure some of you will be quick to post. Second of all, the person who made the comment originally, was John David Jackson. For those who don't know who he is. He is the former WBA Middleweight and WBO Light Middleweight champion. He has also trained Mosley, Hopkins, Nate Campbell and Randal Bailey. He made the comments BEFORE Pac fought Hatton. He also questioned those in the media at the time to name one good black fighter Pac has fought in the last 5 years. Jackson also said he wasn't trying to be racist, but fact is, Pac has never fought a black fighter. Look at his record. Look at the title holders at the time Pac is challenging for belts. He is definitely cherry picking his opponents. He takes the safest fights out there.
At 140, there's Tim Bradley, Nate Campbell, Kendall Holt. At 147, there's Floyd, Mosley, Clottey, Berto. At 154, Paul Williams, Cory Spinks. Now I understand some of those names aren't household names, but some are good fighters with belts. Why not fight the best?

No Pac didnt say anything to fight Floyd in March....Its only Bob Arum wants to make it happen in March because he's the promoter.

Pac has been through ring wars in many years . Pacman already taste of losing . Floyd may/could win by potshot but he''s not ducking Floyd, I would say Cotto is more dangerous boxer punchers chance than FLoyd.

I'm totally pissed that Pacquiao runs on congress cuz he's on prime...

It should be painfully obvious by now to any boxing fan with an ounce of objectivity that Pacquaio DOES NOT want to fight Mayweather. Just look at how many times Pacquaio's camp story has changed within the last week or two. What's worse is Pacquaio's allowing his sycophants to do his talking for him.
