    14.04.05 - Programming Leads Into April 23 ESPN Pay-Per-View Boxing event...Each night next week from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET, ESPN Classic will air seldom-seen classic boxing matches as part of Classic Fight Nights, a week-long programming lead-in to the ESPN Pay-Per-View boxing event on Saturday, April 23. The Classic Fight Nights lineup includes:

    Mon. 4/18

    9 p.m. "Sugar" Ray Leonard vs. Tommy Hearns I (9/16/81)
    (re-airs 4/19 at 12 a.m., 4/20 at 10 p.m. and 4/21 at 1 a.m.)

    10 p.m. Roberto Duran vs. Ken Buchanan (6/26/72)

    9 p.m. Evander Holyfield vs. Dwight Muhammad Qawi (7/12/86)

            Oh yeah, on the Classic channel they usually show an old replay on Mon, Tue, Wed and Thur. nights! It's good to know in advance that they have those particular fights coming up..so thanks!

              you mofo...I just saw the hopkins-trinidad fight again and you know what's strange, if you know spanish you can see that when Tito is makin his entrance, he first tells someone to lower to volume on the music they are playing and then he says "ESTO NO ES NA, ES LA PRIMERA VEZ/ IT'S OK, IT'S JUST THE FIRST TIME"....What did he meant? first time that they mess up with the music? First time that they made him re-wrap his hand? First time that he's gonna loss a fight?? Hmmm...

                These aren't really little-seen to those who have the channel, because they play them all the time. Check out the channel on Monday nights at least and often during the whole week.

                There are some Holyfields I don't have on tape yet, though. Thanks for the post...

                  Same here Neils...got to get that Holyfield! Even though the quality isnt the best (regular cable is like that) theyre still classic fights, so I've been taping the hell out of them lately..lot of Marciano, Robinson, Ali, Liston, Frazier, etc....the oldie but goodies!
