Styles make fights, Dawson would beat Hopkins and he knows it, he's not Pavlik.

Yeah Dawsons style should cause Hopkins problems, Hopkins isn't a easy fight for Dawson either though.

Pavlik isn't Dawson but Dawson isn't Calzaghe who Hopkins gave a very tough fight.

It's a bit much to expect Hopkins at age 44 to fight like he's 25. He fights great for an older dude. "Boring" is not fair, really! He's slowed down now, but you could hardly call him boring back in 1997 when he whipped Johnson's ass. That version of Hopkins was a machine. Nowadays he needs a very static target to get off properly (Pavlik) and has trouble with speedy fighters (Taylor, Calzaghe). In my opinion, Dawson would give him a rough night, but he would also give Dawson a rough night as well. He can spoil your boxing big time.

I like him. Even as a cagey old veteran, he can still give anyone a run for their money.
