Bernard The Executioner Hopkins, what's your point? Do you think hopkins cares about his #1 ranking? He's looking to finish his career and quite frankly, Dawson isn't a spectacular way to finish a hall of fame career. Like I said, he wants David Haye, he wants to win a belt at Heavyweight. How can you knock Hopkins?

I'm not knocking Dawson for wanting Hopkins either, obviously he has ever right to want to go after the #1 guy. I'm simply stating that it's unlikely hopkins will want to finish his career against a guy nobody really cares about or will enhance his legacy.

You're knocking Dawson for fighting "40 year olds". Unfortunately, these 40 year olds are the biggest and BEST names in the LHW division. As a fighter, aren't you supposed to go after the names? the best?

Chad can do well against Hopkins

Dawson vs Hopkins is the fight to make at 175. The smoke has cleared and the dust has settled, The more I think about it, Dawson and Hopkins are the two best at 175 and they should be fighting. This fight should have been made mandatory even before the proposed Hopkins vs Roy rematch. Dawson has some serious educated boxing skills and he may be able to outbox Hopkins and maybe able to stop him..

I cant believe that people are actually defending Hopkins not fighting Dawson, since beating Tarver he has yet to fight one single lhw. The no 2 is calling him out and he arranges to fight a shot Jones. Hopkins isnt fighting Haye and he never intends to. Its just more talk after Ornelis he has no excuses.

Hopkins wants legacy, not another 26-27 year old. He's going to go after David Haye. If that cannot happen, then Chad Dawson might get the opportunity.

Dawson needs to man the **** up and fight Tavoris Cloud, someone under the age of 40. Try to unify and make your own greatness. Hopkins is 45 years old, his legacy is cemented. He doesn't need Chad "14 people showed up to my last fight" Dawson.

Hopkins may not be running from Dawson, but he sure seems to be out of hearing range for Dawson's call.

I mean I cannot blame him. Dawson is tall, fast, talented and will give Hopkins a very hard time.

Can Hopkins beat him? Very possible if he can spoil Dawson's rhythm. Dawson also can beat Hopkins and I give him a very good chance. In fact I would slightly favor Dawson.

The fight for Hopkins now is Dawson since Jones got KO'd. I think that fight should be immediately moved to the top of both fighters priority list.
