Jones and McClellan were both mw at the same time, he didnt make a permanent move up until he fought Toney in 94. McClellan was gunning for Jones on the assumption he got past Benn.

Benn and Eubank were bad timing, he maybe would've fought McClellan had he beaten Benn and kept winning.

Yes...he fought Liles in the amateurs several times and got a standing eight count once. But I'm not sure Liles was so viable during Roy's LHW reign - though he would have been just as difficult. Nunn had a nice run before losing to Rochigianni.

Liles was viable around 1995 though when they were both titlists at 168.

Yeah, Nunn was a little iffy, he actually lost to Liles and maybe would've gotten the Jones fight had he beaten Rocchogiani but I still don't think Jones was too keen on fighting him.

Yeah, Liles has a very good right jab, knew how to keep distance, good skills, would've given him a very, very tough fight.
