Macklin won't make it at World-level. At best he might get an alphabet belt if he doesn't have to face anyone too dangerous. I have no idea about Barker, but he is totally untested and doesn't appear to be gifted physically. For my money, I'd rate the chances of Craig McEwan to be the best British middleweight. His fundamentals look good if unpolished and he has the right coach in Freddie Roach. Too early to seriously comment on his chances though.
