Cotto outboxed Pacquiao so badly that Pacquiao needed a knockout to win in the end, and that's why they had to stop the fight. Seriously, Cotto did not outbox Pac in any moment of the fight except maybe the first round, and maybe fourth and fifth round, but Mayweather and Cotto fight nothing alike and Cotto going backwards just plays into Pacquiao's hands which is making him go forward which is what he wants, which is what Mayweather will do which also will play into Pacquiao's hands.
