Respect for the passing of a Legend

Thanks for all the memories champ!

41 years old in a young mans game, the end was inevitable, and this is usually how it happens. Retirement or one final fight in Pensacola in the spring will mark the career end of Roy Jones Jr.

I am thankful I went to the Lacy fight and saw his last great performance live!!!! He put on a show for his fans and I'll never forget it.

20 years in the game, middleweight to heavyweight, and a human highlight reel...

What more can I say... forever a fan.

Loved Roy in his prime but he was slipping in 2002 and finally fell a couple years later. But watching him against Calzaghe, I realized the old Roy would never return. Tarver may have exposed his descent to the world but I believe Jones never recovered mentally, moreso than physically.
