hopkins is clearly pulling a hatton charade. He refuses to fight legitimate contenders or champions in his own weight class if they don't substantially add to his resume and there is a severe risk he could lose.

For all the derision surrounding the belts it seems that boxers till stake their reputations on how many they have earned at different weight classes irrespective of their resumes. When will the time come when the best chase after the best, belts notwithstanding?
