Jones had nothing left anyway. The only way Calzaghe could be made to look bad is if he'd struggled with them, but since Lacy didn't win a round, Roy only won one or two, and a better version of Kessler won about 3 rounds in a fight where Joe didn't headbutt him, Calzaghe looks no different to what he did before. People were already saying Jones was shot, right? So basically Joe was never really given credit for the Jones win anyway, and rightly so.

Looking at the Green fight now, it's not hard to see why Roy lost -- he is a fighter who always depended on his reflexes, and with age, the reflexes deteriorate. Throw in Green, a power punching Cruiserweight, and it all makes sense. Maybe Green would KO a 40 year-old version of Calzaghe, too.

PS: I always said Eubank, even a 31 year-old version, is the best win on Calzaghe's resume. Look like now it's becoming clearer by the day.

This stuff can work both ways, lets look at Bhop and Jones resumes's:

          Bernard Hopkins:
Lost twice to Jermain taylor who has now been koed three times.
Beat Tarver whose best win since then is beating a b-level Clinton woods then back to back losses to Dawson.
Winky has achieved nothing at lhw, and lost to pwill.
Beat Pavlik who has achieved nothing at lhw and whose best win since the bhop fight is rubio.

          Jones:
Beat Toney who threw the next 8 years of his career away on espn.
Beat Ruiz who hasnt achieved anything since.
Beat Hopkins who lost to Calzaghe and Jermain Taylor twice.

A Chris Eubank who took the fight on two weeks notice and was never the same fighter post Watson?
