    To the fans of RJJ

Undoubtedly, many of you are waking up this morning, or have been unable to sleep due to the knowledge that your favourite fighter has just been destroyed by a man who wouldn't have lit a candle to Roy in his prime. I'd simply like to offer my condolences. As far as his career is concerned, Roy has been knocked out of the ring, and you should look upon his retirement favourably. 6 months ago, I was in the same boat watching my favourite fighter get demolished inside two rounds. I know how it feels. That Green beat Roy is no reflection upon the fighter that he once was, nor does it take anything away from his illustrious career of yesteryear. Remember Ali's last fight? Tyson's? Eubank's? None of these fighters went out on a particularly high note, but what each accomplished in his career was undeniable. It's a bad loss, yes. Suck it up though. Roy didn't make excuses and neither should you. We ALL know that Roy would have killed him in his prime, so there's no point harping on about that. Simply get over it and be satisfied and proud that you got to see your favourite fighter go out on his shield... at least you don't have to deal with the embarrassment of him having quit on his stool (Hi Oscar). Anyway, again, my condolences, and to Roy: Thanks for an awesome career.
