How are they going to fool people into purchasing 700-1000 dollar tickets? Be it that I was ****** into purchasing almost 200 dollar tix for the Williams fight but I got backstage access so it was a small price to pay....I realize Tyson is an attraction but christ? Williams and Tyson did an attendance of about 7k (if that) Why in the world would people pay that amount?

People who are putting this thing together is crazy...Ringside for Ruiz vs Toney is under 500.....Trinidad tickets are usually cheaper than this...

Excuse my ranting but I was going to go to the fight but these tickets are a large amount of cash to throw down on such a weak fight with an even weaker undercard....Nobody should pay to see Laila Ali

This fight is for phonies in Hollywood and the business world, from the looks of things. You know, those people that were at the Hopkins - De La Hoya fight and thought that Oscar was winning. What I mean is that I'm sure you'll see Ashton Kuncher sitting in the front row.

Having said that I still think that they're overestimating Tyson as a draw. The addition of Laila Ali is yet another publicity stunt (by the way, what's the deal with that horrible nickname?). People who know a shred about boxing need not apply to this one.

They don't normally have boxing in D.C.

I imagine they'll sell a lot of those tickets.

Even if it's not a sellout, it could still take in more money than if it was 500 ringside.

When I went to Spinks-Judah II, the guy two feet in front of me had to pay 500 for his seat; I paid 250. I'm inches from ringside for the upcoming Brewster-Golota for 300, rather than 500.

I imagine you could get decent 250 dollar seats if you were on the phone immediately. That way you're looking even or slightly down on the ring instead of looking up at it. You actually have a better view for ring entrances, etc.

Who is Ali fighting Spinks? Until she 'mans up' and gets in there with Ann Wolfe or Rijker...I'm not that interested either!

Won't happen cause she doesn't need to take risks...she can make tons of money just because of her famous last name.

Sad but true...but, I used to be a big Laila fan, but I'm tired of her ***** footing around with all these 'gimmes'. Her name wont do jack for her credibility, and I cant be the only one that feels that way. The last chick she fought had like 11 wins or something...rediculous! She had no business fighting that girl (not to mention she outweighed her big time!). I think she has potential, but as soon as I'm convinced that shes a coward (something her dad never was!!) is the minute I lose all respect for her. It's time for her to hang them up, or fight somebody that has a chance in hell of beating her...which would be Wolfe or Rijker..in my opinion anyway.

Not to hijack the thread, but that's a cool avatar, joeboxer. I assume that's Joe Louis when he was in the army in WW2?
