    Exactly, good comments.

As a RJJ Fan not only should he retire but I don't know who would be interested in watching him fight again. I was still skeptical after Lacy, now I am sure.

As a fan you always want and hope to see a glimpse of the old RJJ, and the Lacy fight did that. Unfortunately it was deceiving...RJJ needs to retire.

Roy Jones Jr. wasn't great because he had mastered the fundamentals; he didn't have technical brilliance or a boxing brain to overcome obstacles. He was the greatest athlete to ever step in the ring. A physical specimen, pure and simple. Coupled with the confidence he had in his youth, we witnessed a meteoric rise of one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in history.

Unfortunately for us (and Roy), athleticism is one of the first things to go with age, and coming back down from heavyweight didn't help. There was nothing else for him to fall back on. He needs to hang 'em up. He's already damaged what would have been a top 10 all-time p4p status by dragging it out this far.

It was a sad day seeing Roy get beat that easily by a limted fighter. Green was a solid puncher with good fitness and heart, nothing more. Even do Roy was past his best, I still thought he had enough left to box the ears off Green.

The same Green who was given a boxing lesson at the hands of fellow Aussie Anthony Mundine, who although is a good fighter is nothing special, and who had suffered a KO defeat to Sven Okkte and a points loss to Manny Siaca.

But it just shows me how much of a washed up fighter Roy is. His punch resistance has faded and he has no legs or reflexes no more. It also goes to show me how washed up Jeffy Lacy and Omar Sheika are, two men who Roy destroyed this year.

But I will remember Roy at his peak. Jones at the peak of his powers, attempted things no boxer had ever attempted before. Whether it was Jabbing from a distance, or hitting and slipping from mid range, throwing fast explosive combinations on the inside.

At his best Jones threw the Boxing textbook out the window, but he was that gifted he could probaly wirte his own on the art of boxing.

Jones possesed uncanny speed, reflexes and ring intelligence. On his best day, Roy would of been a problem for any fighter around his weight classes.

In his remarkable career. Roy was a 4 weight division champion, which included winning titles from Middleweight to Heavyweight. Thanks for the memories Roy.......

when someone is as dominant as RJJ was, unfortunately it seems, that sometimes this kind of loss to precisely this type of opponent is exactly what it takes to force that seemingly difficult call of retirement. that call will surely be made. respect to RJJ

My "C" class fighter as you call him just killed your legend. Hopkins is smart though. He wont want any part of Danny.
You're a ****in' idiot. Nobody said Roy was back to his best. They were saying he looked better after Lacy and still had enough to beat Green. You know damn well prime Roy ****s all over Green and his premature stoppage ass win over an already twice stopped 40 y/o legend.

You need to pay respect to the man. Punk ass.

                    • Green is supposed to be the type of fighter Roy plays around with, carrying several rounds because he doesn't really want to hurt him. Wow..............it's over man. It's over.
